"A masterful exercise in pure, unfettered musical collaboration...beguiling Portishead-meets-Flying Lotus-meets-Twin Peaks soundscapes"
Manchester Evening News, October 2011
The Electronic Exchange return with a pair of brand new tunes, showcasing a more robust and confidently original sound, backed with three hot remixes from two talented young UK producers.
The pan-European pair have moved on from the dark dub templates of their eponymous debut. The new EP finds them obviously growing in confidence in both writing and production - Fit Right strides boldly into the light with pulsating bass and agitated polyrhythms. Najia's soaring vocals come from the twilight to bloom in the foreground. Shapeshifter's glimmering shuffle-hop sharpens the bitter-sweet razors-edge that the duo once again willfully pursue.
The remixers have come up trumps on their duties - Neko Neko taking both tracks into a glorious fuzzy haze, whilst keeping true to the sentiments of Najia's lyrics. Pause re-rubs lead track Fit Right into a new, higher plane - think 3am synthed-up hands-in-the-air raving!
